On February 23rd, we hosted young professionals at the first annual River City Ball located in Jacksonville, Florida. The River City Ball is a charity event designed to encourage young and inspired adults to give back to their community. We are already looking forward to next year.
The proceeds raised from the event benefited two local charities dear to our hearts; The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation and the Angels for Allison Foundation.
The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation was created to help young people recognize their full potential by providing an outlet that encourages caring for others, giving to those in need, and growing in their own spirituality. Locally in Jacksonville, the foundation provides education and guidance to at risk children. On a much larger scale, they have built and supported Okoa orphanage in Uganda, Africa for over 80 children.
The Angels for Allison Foundation strives to assist those in financial need and provide ongoing support for families who are suffering from the loss of a child. The organization has focused on helping Northeast Florida families, specifically by providing funeral expenses and other costs associated with the loss of a loved one.
Our mission is to make a difference that will have a lasting impact and build relationships to empower future leaders. We want to create the opportunity for young adults to network and get involved in the great city that we live in.
We are looking forward to next year’s River City Ball, which will take place on February 8th, 2020. All proceeds will go to two local charities. Stay tuned for more.
